Biography:

Eva Beirne works in the Netwell Centre in the Dundalk Institute of Technology as Project Coordinator for a new initiative influenced on an Australian concept which aims to address social isolation in older men.
The project is called the "Men's Shed Initiative" and is concerned with the health and well-being of older men in our community and encouraging them to take part in various activities that can help them to use their skills, and ultimately promote the development of a strong community and social enterprise.
