Biography:

Psychologist Dr Ann O’Hanlon is a Senior Research Fellow, in the Netwell Centre. Prior to her work at DkIT,  she lectured at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (2003-2008) and the University of Southampton (1999-2003). At DkIT Ann brings subject and research expertise to psychology, health and technology-related projects in terms of development and implementation.  She leads on research training in advanced quantitative and qualitative research methods, and is an experienced communicator at local, national and international level with clinicians, students, academics, other professionals and members of the public. Her interests are diverse and include topics on: adult development and positive functioning including generativity and wisdom; psychopathology and developmental adaptation; relationships / attachment relationships over the life-course incl bereavement and loss;  health and quality of life; health promotion and education; health service use, technology use, attitudes and experiences; attitudes to ageing and  attitudes to education
