Nestling Project Introduces Capacitar Workshops

For January 2011, the Nestling Project has introduced a new and exciting wellness parctice for its Wednesday Women's Group called Capacitar. Capacitar is a national and internaional network of empowerment that was founded in 1988 in California.

"Capacitar" is a Spanish word meaning to empower, to encourage to bring each other to life.  It teaches simple wellness practices to individuals, families and communities placing in the hands of people skills to empower them to heal and transform their lives and societies.

Capacitar methods involve healing, team building and personal and community development using wellness practices such as Tai Chi, Acupressure, Visualisation and breathwork.

Capacitar currently works in 16 states of the USA, in 30 countries in Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean, Indonesia, East Timor, Ireland and Northern Ireland and Souther and Eastern African countries.  The training sessions will be facilitated by two very experience Capacitar Ireland trainers from the Women and Family health Initiative, South Armagh.
